Parking in Downtown Westmont can be a bit tricky, but there is ample parking once you get the hang of it. There is street parking located in front of the salon. If you can't find parking there check on either side of the Metra Tracks for the Burlington North line. We ask that our partons please not park in spaces that belong to our neighboring businesses unless you are one of their patrons as well.

Is it Simply Nailz or Phenomenal Nailz
It actually is both, in 2002 I created a company called Phenomenal Nailz and Phenomenal Nailz was in the "Spotlight" at a salon called Ascension in the West Loop area. Some of you may know of that salon and remember the nail technicians that were there. Phenomenal Nailz was a sole proprietorship and it was a way to brand myself as a nail technician. I maintained that name until I decided that I didn't just want to "do" nails, but I wanted to be involved in every aspect of the nail business, from helping new nail technicians to get started, to helping existing experienced technicians to maintain and learn new things as well as be exposed to new opportunities and provide them both with a space where nail technicians are celebrated. If you're a nail technician you'll understand what I mean, if not call and ask.
During the summer of 2010, I set out to do this and the name Phenomenal Nailz did not embody this new purpose. I needed a name that made a statement on its own to the beauty industry about what our purpose was without a long statement, I settled on Simply Nailz because what would you expect to find at a salon called Simply Nailz, what else would you find at a beauty supplier called Simply Nailz, what classes would you expect to find at a continuing education center called Simply Nailz...the short is nothing but "Nailz, Nailz, Nailz".
Phenomenal Nailz on the other hand, had been the name my salon had been known by for so many years that I didn't want to loose that recognition, so you will notice that the URL in the address bar may say www.phenomenalnailz.com, but the title of the page says Simply Nailz and that's ok because "The Phenomenal Woman" that created Phenomenal Nailz is now working on her newest venture Simply Nailz where we strive for Simply Perfection with a singular focus, "Nailz, Nailz, Nailz". Its been a hard road to get to this point, but I'm excited about the venture. I hope that you will join me in celebrating a company that is "For Nail Techs by Nail Techs" because all we do is Simply Nailz, which is ... Simply Perfection. You won't find any hair care products on our shelves, though you may find a hair salon next door. You won't find esthetic products on our shelves though you may find it next door. You won't find massage therapist products on our shelves that are not related to a manicure and/or pedicure, but you might find those next door.
At Simply Nailz, we believe that each part of the beauty industry is integral to the other, however it has been my experience and that of my peers that nail care is best done outside of salons that cater to the hair, skin and massage...but close enough that the benefits of the entities as a collective still remains. So whether you call us Phenomenal Nailz or Simply Nailz, we'll answer.
